Post 2000 LS1 vs. VTech Integra

lets see? I drive the 00' Trans AM, and some kid in an Integra with a Vtech motor, (or should I say rat wheel)thinks that the Integra will beat the LS1 in the 1/4 mile. So I am wondering what a stock 2000 Trans AM with the Hurst 6 speed on the T56 runs in the 1/4? This way I don't have to waste my time with this Integra, unless he wants to put money on it. Oh yeah the Integra is stock, maybe an intake possibly some dumb chip. So what are the LS1 enthusiasts comments on that? I say SMOKE the Integra while driving normal!!!! HA

I walked all over an Integra in my '02 SS,(stock!), we raced from light to light, I had him by 5 car lengths and from a rolling start, (about 30 mph), I stomped him again. Just run him, beat him BAD, and shut him up!! Later...

you will absolutely destroy that moron...I raced one with my LT1 Z28 (ran 13.8@100) and had ~ 8 cars on him by the end of the 1/4. I would ask him to put up a couple bills to make it interesting

After I had my car for about 3 months I had the pleasure of destroying a kid in a yellow Type R (which as everybody knows is a VTEC equipped car). After KILLING him off the line and pulling about 5 car lengths on him before shutting down he followed me onto the highway for some more fun. We both nailed it from a roll at around 65-70 and that outcome was even more pathetic than before. The bottom line is unless this kid's got nitrous or turbo (or both) you're WS6 is going to eat this kid's car alive and then belch out what's left of it.

It's sorta like: Lennox Lewis vs. Mike Tyson.

Tyson never really stood a chance right from the beginning, did he???

And just for peace of mind, one of my friends owns a '96 T/A, and my other friend (his brother) owns a '90 Integra with a new V-Tech engine from Japan (which he spent ~$3000 for), and the T/A walks away from the Integra like the little V-Tech was running in reverse!!! So if an LT1 can smoke the Integra, think of what the LS1 will do to it!

Well, thanks for the stories guys. I was going to race for $100 minimum. But, When I see the kid, I am going to tell $50 will do, so that the other $50 can go into his car that runs on rice, maybe 50 can get him some of those great Vtech shoulder pads for the seat belts in the Integra, that why he thinks his car will be faster. little does he know, those do not improve HP! HAHA

Make sure he brings his girlfriend. It's always nice to hand someone their azz when their ladyfriend is present.

Wow. Unless he is hiding massive mods to his car, I still can't believe that someone in an Integra can even consider racing an LS1. The cars are no where near in the same league.

No insult to Integras... they are nice cars. But they are crushed in the 1/4 mile by an LS1 unless they have serious mods (they're short 120 hp or so...).

I can't beliv somon is dumb enough to think he can run you in an Integra, he must have seen "Fast and the Furious" too many times. Ask him if you can try some of what he is smoking, it must be good ****!

Just do what I did ... and give him a ride ! He'll change his mind in about 2 seconds of 1st gear . I helped my nephew put nitrous on his VTEC honda, when I had it up and going he took me for a ride to check it out. He was so excited about his new found performance that he was yelling, and hollering out loud over the sheer exhileration of the awesome acceleration .When we got back I took him for a ride in my car N/A . He just about crapped his pants I smoked my tires through 2nd gear and took in up to about 130 mph. He kept saying "WHY do you even have nitrous on this thing? WHEN can you even use it ?!? " . He is now selling his Honda for some domestic performance . He really, REALLY had no clue as to the performance of the LS1. He's also starting to enlighten some of his rice buddys .

Just take him for a ride, he'll instantly know just how ignorant he is about REAL performance cars .
