2000 Camaro Z28

About to buy my first Chevy ever...currently selling my 65' Galaxie 500 for one. Alot invested, but I think this might suit my needs better while in college.

My friend is going to cut me a deal on a 2000 Chevy Camaro Z28 in Pewter. Leather, AC, All options, and a 6 Speed Manual

Millage is 40,000!

What is this car worth? I've checked KBB, and nada, and they seem to go for around $12,400 or so in its current condition.

Car has never seen rain, and only has 3 small dings. No scratches, everything is flawless. Owner garages it...and rarely puts any miles on it. He's 35, and he says he's too old for it.

If you gave him 11,500 for it or even 11,000 I don't think he should complain. I bought an auto with no leather with the same mileage three years ago for 13,500 after financing. So I think he is still getting a deal and you are getting the same.

Re: 2000 Camaro Z28

I told him 11,500. He nodded and said "ill think about it". He said he wanted close to 13,000.

Then the next day, he smilled at me and said "show me the money". So I guess we are at a done deal. I went over and looked at it a few times.

I wasn't sure if he was joking or not, but a few days later he said "So how much you gonna give me for it?" I told him I want to drive it and such. If he asks me again, I'm gonna tell him our deal was at $11,500!! I was thinking anywhere from 11,000 - 12,000 for it...and we would both be getting a fine deal I suppose.

Remeber, its got the 6 speed, and thats worth more than the auto.

What do these cars run in the 1/4 with the 6 speed?

It will be a nice car to drive.

If you can drive, mid 13s. I have seen a totally stock A4 with a set of hoosier slicks run 13.3, 4 times back to back at the strip.

You need to quit procrastinating and get him the money
6 speed and auto were the same price when new and the 6 speed is only worth more to somebody that wants one.
Mid 13s is pretty common, some have gotten low 13s and even a high 12 on a VERY good air day at a sealevel track. Buddy bought a 98 Formula with 130k miles on it and ran a 13.003 @ 109.9 with a lid, loudmouth, and 4.10 gears.

Too old? I'm thinking just right. I turn 35 on tuesday and got my car on June 25. That guy needs to see a shrink. Of course, mine will be for sale as soon as the new ones are available...

Yeah he's nutso. I'm 53 and have had an SS since 98, a Formula since 2000 and a Mach1 for the last 2 years. Heck I was looking at an 02 CE rag Saturday.
