Thumbs up 1st Time dyno numbers

I am new to this camaro site and thought I would join after reading the posts for a while, seems like a good board. Anyway, I got my car dynoed and would like some input on weather my numbers are good or should I be putting more down.
My best run was..... 339.4 rwhp and 373.2 rwtq. Are these good numbers for my mods? Hopefully the sig I registered w/ works otherwise I will list my mods. Thanks for the input.

Those #'s are really high for your mods, especially the torque. Looks like you have a beast now get some headers and a cam and you should have some insane numbers.

Cool

Looks like you have found a nice Wednesday car for yourself. Enjoy!

My stock numbers are in sig and I'm pretty happy, too.

yeah.. those are super high.. I am thinking that your Y-pipe had alot to do with it but am wondering..

Since I havent seen any prefabbed Y-pipes, did you just have one made for you? The exhaust may give you a gain but thats awful high if you figure you have 30rwhp more than a stock strong car.. with just maf, y pipe and exhaust (filter may be hurting you more than helping)..

Although.. your track times seem to back up the hp humbers based on weight and power.. i tend to think those numbers are accurate.. just leads me to wonder what your car had stock or why your car did so well with just exhaust...

good luck!

Actually with his 1.9 short time and his 106 trap he seems to be in the range of 330/330 numbers. The dyno may have been a tad off but still good times.

Good numbers but I think they're a little high...and a little off, based on your track times. 106 traps does not equal 340rwhp, I'd say you're probably closer to 300rwhp, which IMO is still very good.
Dyno numbers don't (shouldn't) really mean that much anyway...track times are a true indication of what a car is capable of...as long as you're a good driver and it looks like you are because a 12.91 is a very good ET for a 106 trap. You do have an A4 right? It looks like you do.

All dynos are different (well, not all but a lot), that's why you shouldn't base what your car is capable of on them too much. You could go to a different dyno tomorrow and put down 310 or 290 or 350...who knows. Don't get me wrong, they are a nice tool to have but IMO that's really all they are is a tool. Just go to the same dyno every time and see what your mods are doing, helping a lot, a little, hurting you, etc...kinda like psychocabbage is doing.

Anywho, welcome.

Those numbers are insanely high for those mods. You should be around 112 mph thruogh the quarter mile with those kind of numbers.....

They're probably STD numbers and not SAE numbers.

I believe the HP number could be accurate, my buddy's 01 WS6 laid down 345rwhp and 355rwt with a GMMG, lid, and a pace MAF, all corrected and everything. Some people just have stronger cars than others, thats all. Torque does seem a lil high though, but more power to you!

That's all fine and dandy......................but...........
106mph trap speed doesn't support the 340hp and the torque is definitly a converter flash induced spike.
340hp should trap 109 in the heat 112 in good cool air.

Any car that runs 12.90s with just a couple of mods is cool by me
Welcome, but take dyno numbers with a grain of skepticism or is that salt?

Do we know if its an M6 or A4? My buddy's is an M6. And I agree, he should be trapping a little higher, I never contested that, I was simply saying that his numbers aren't too far off and I had seen similar. My buddy was trapping 108 in the heat and running 12.9's also. And you are so right, dyno numbers are for bench racing, fun to say you have 400hp according to a dyno or whatever. Track times are a different story.

Good #'s for the mods- I have similar: Hooker LT's and Off road Y, Loudmouth, lid and K&N, and Granateli Z06 MAF-plus a few suspension goodies I'm having some tuning issues and hope that my dyno man can hurry up and get unlimited LS1 Edit and help me out-he says i am running a bit rich plus have quite a bit of knock, and it's hurting me. Your torque is high, I like!! Ever go to the track at Fayetteville? There is another all-nighter Aug 1st that about 30 of my buddies and I are going to.

Check out our site -it's mainly people from Raleigh/Durham, but there's a few from your area on there too.
