Post 1999 Z-28 Gas Pedal Sticks...

I just bought this car and haven't really gotten on it yet. But, 3 times I have noticed that when the wheels spin the gas pedal sticks for just a second. 2 times I gave it just a little too much gas pulling off of a dirt road and the other time it was wet. I read another post that was similar, but it didn't seem to address the same issue.

It most definately isn't the carpet. Can anybody help me? I am thinking it is a traction control issue of some sort.

Cool

Look on your dash right below the 2 middle vents and right beside where it says "Camaro".You will see the fog light switch if you have fog lights and you will see the traction control switch if you have that. When the car starts, the tc is automatically on and it engages every time the wheels start to spin.It takes over the gas pedal and that's the "sticking" that you are feeling.Good luck.

Yeah ... ditto that ... if you spin the wheels and then it feels like the pedal is pushing back against you (or like there is a block of wood under the pedal) then it's the traction control.

The switch is marked "ASR"

In my original post I wrote that I suspected traction control, so right after I wrote it, I went out and spun the tires a little with traction control off and it was fine. Thanks for the replies.
