Come on now..you have to ask yourself the same questions you would with other cars..

10's with an auto and 10's with an M6 are different setups..costs..and 60fts/trap speeds.

Ask yourself how you want to make the power. Just like other cars..you can do it NA, on nitrous, or with forced induction.

There are a dozen ways you could approach it. And just about anything would be streetable.

How expensive and difficult is it to run 10's NA with an auto LS1? Is that what you want to know?

The horsepower required and the suspension geometry to launch hurtle 3000-3200 pounds down a 1/4 mile track is the same no matter the make and model.

The end result for a N/A car will be a dragster that can be driven on the street and will be last in class in autox.

If you still want a true street car; ie one that's comfortable to drive and still has amenties like A/C, radio, sound dampening carpet, comfortable seats, air bags, power steering and good enough handling to be respectable on an autox ... around high 11s to low 12s ... beyound that you need to strip out the things that make it comfortable to drive on the street and specailize the suspension for the track ... and even then you will still need a a full track only wheel set up.

Good Luck

Let's assume a 3500 lb raceweight, you would need like 500rwhp to hit that NA... Most likely with a 422-434ci engine.

I went 11.02 with crankshaft problems should have went 10.8, a 10.5 would have required I ditch some weight, go with bigger headers, and probably a transbrake...

Well... you could do heads/cam and a lil nitrous shot and that outta get you there.

Also you could forge your internals and run a blower at a fairly high boost level.

There, simple. Either of those will have you in the 10's

Lol, well, of course it's a lil more complicated then that. Each of those mods to be used to push over 500+ hp will require some planning and excellent tuning. And each assumes you have all boltons, and safety equipment. You'll need arm restraints, driveshaft safety loop, trans shield, roll cage.... and that's just to allow you to run at a dragstrip.

You'll also need a heft transmission rebuild, and some slicks. Also a 12 bolt rear-end.

Sure, it seems simple from this post, but you're looking at upwards of $10,000 in mods for all this

Enjoy!
