1/4 Mile times for 02 SS Auto

Went with my good friend whom just bought a new 2002 SS A4 with the Blackwing package he has since added SLP long tubes, SY 3500 stall, 275-40-17 nitto dr's and is now running consistant between 12.61-12.72 @ 108-110 is this good for his current setup he knows the 17in Nittos dr's are not giving him the 60ft he can get but runs 1.8's-1.9s? The car has 3500miles as of right now. He just want to gauge how he stands to other LS1s out there.

Well, do you guys race at a good track (prepped, at sea level, etc ... )? I race at a high elevation, desert track (sh!tty conditions) and with my mods (similar to his, but with ET Streets) I have cut mid 1.7 60's and a best of 12.80 @ 104.5. Seems like the 60' (Nitto's) are killing his potential.

I'd be looking for low 12's with set up. The mile/hour is about right, but with that high stall torque converter you should be getting low 12's. Maybe with more practice on the track he can lower his times.

A good friend of mine has a 02 SS A4 aniversary. His mods are Borla exhaust, ported stock TB, K&N, Vig 3200 stall, B&M shift kit, tranny cooler, torq management removed, shift points adjusted, rev limit @ 6600, Nittos 275/40.

best e.t. 12.42 @ 106.x
60' 1.64...............avg 60' about 1.70-1.75

We are putting mac mid lengths and ORY this saturday.

I will keep you posted on his results. Iam thinking 12.2x @ 109-110.

Hope that helps your friend.

Well we went to the track again last night and it was high 60s down here he ran 12.610@109 with a 1.797 60ft and a 8.0 1/8 mile i though that was pretty good gauging that he was running with the 2002 Z06 which was running 12.5@110-111 to give you an idea of what cars were running. Remember all he has to the car from when he bought it new is SLP LT's, Yank SY3500, and NIttos 275-40-17's.
