Question year model-motor question

a friend of mine is trying to tell me that he test drove a 94 or 96 camaro fourth-gen with a 305 v-8 in it. he is also telling me that it was a Z28? i have never known anything of this sort so i really don't know if they made one. i was under the impression that the only two engine lines used between 93 and 97 in the camaro's was the 3800 and the LT1. if you know of any 305, 5.0, V-8 engines that GM has put into the forth-gen, let me know...
like i said before, i don't believe this, but it would help to know for sure.
thanks

Correct no 305 in the fourth gens.

LT1, LS1, 3.8, or 3.4.
