X Or Not

Iam about to order my lt headers, and was wondering i have seen some guys running long tubes to a pipe then to muffler then dumpped before axle.I was thinking of doing the same with a 1 chamber flo.or should go thru the x pipe then dump?

Re: X Or Not

Coming off headers into a single pipe w/ muffler dumped in front of the axle? This will work well if the single pipe is 3 1/2~4 inches in diameter. Just make sure the y-pipe doesn't bottleneck down to 2 3/4 inches like the stock system (means you'll have to get a custom y-pipe). True duals dumped sounds awesome too. Either one you go with will be a lot louder than any other catback out there (except maybe the loudmouth - which most don't like without cats). Dumps are especially loud inside the car. My 40 mile daily commute had me switch to a Magnaflow. Feels like my torque curve moved down a bit too in the process. My advice....go ride in a car with a dumped exhaust if you can and make sure that's what you really want....

I guess i am saying it wrong, its a true dual each header has its on pipe and muffler coming off it,its all most like a open headers with mufflers on them. Will this give me more power?

Re: X Or Not

An X pipe set up will give you the most power, then H pipe, then seperate duals.
