Ws6 or SS??
Ws6 or SS??
I am trying to make a tough decision. I have been wanting to get a new F-Body. I have been looking at 96 SS's or 97 SS 30th ann's. But I have just started looking at 98 TA Ws6's. I love the way these cars look. Anyone have an opinion on this??
Re: Ws6 or SS??
I love the way 96 & 97 SS's look, but the LS1 is a great motor. Tough call. I love the way the LT1 motor sounds though, much more throaty. I would probably go with an SS, but that is just me.

I love the pressure

Re: Ws6 or SS??
It depends, how did you like your LT1 you had ? It's only going to get better in SS trim. How many LS1's have you driven ? If none then I would deffinetly drive some LS1's before making the purchase. If it were me though, I would go with the LS1.
Re: Ws6 or SS??
definitely go with the WS6...maybe thats just cuz im a fan of the nicer body style that the trans ams have over the camaro's (love the trans am hatches with the raised spoiler and flip up headlights, and of course the sick ram air hoods)
that and bc the LS1 is gonna have more hp from the start and more mod friendly...

Re: Ws6 or SS??
The WS6 has the LS1 and bigger brakes. Unless the price difference is huge I'd go with the WS6. Isn't that the year for the single exhaust outlet on the WS6 cars? I've never owned a LT1 car but I've owned a 2000 SS, a 2002 Z28 and a 2002 Firehawk. Oddly enough, the Z28 was quicker than either the SS or the Firehawk. It was a stripper hardtop model while the others were loaded t-toppers.
