windshield wipers - same for LS1 and LT1?

Dumb question, but are the windshield wipers the same on LT1 cars as they are on LS1 cars...do they mount the same, same length, etc?

The reason I ask is Advance Auto's Bosch wiper blade is only listed for '98 - '02 F-body cars...I can't imagine they would be that different...especially if the front end can be swapped without major modification.

Thanks.

They mount to the car the same, but I believe the 98+ didnt come with the little areo wing thing on them. More like a regular wiper blade. That may be the reason it only shows 98 up, the areo thing might be in the way for the replacments. You can directly swap out stock to stock though 93-02.

I know this topic is old, but I had the same trouble as you finding wipers that fit the 1995. (As I am having trouble with right now, finding one's that fit the 2002.)

I discovered that NAPA 60-024-9R fits PERFECT on the 95. Not sure about the '02. The factory ones are Bosch.

wow...old thread...

I did learn that the piece that the wiper actually clips into is different for LT1 vs LS1 cars...at least on the TA it is. The wiper arm turns upward on the LT1 cars and I believe it turns down on the LS1 cars...

yup, not the same as far as the actual connection method between the arm and the blade. sizes probably the same. this made a difference when i went to hook up one of the new bosch icons that have a limited mounting ability to my 97 TA.

Glad it helped!

I had to replace the wipers on our 2002 SS, and the wipers were definitely Bosch. I don't remember the model name, but the factory replacement set is 100% most definitely Bosch. I went to a Chevy dealer and tried buying them, and they sold me plastic AC Delco ones that seemed cheap. Just go to any auto part store and get the Bosch.

The NAPA wipers aren't factory for the '95 Z28, but they do fit well, and are a good metal replacement. I don't know what the factory ones are.

I'm not sure if the mounting method changed in '97, or if it was '98 (likely), but wipers that fit on a '02 won't fit on a '95, I can verify that right now. The metal arm that holds the wiper faces a different direction.

I believe the ones I just replaced were the stockers. They had the AC Delco emblem on them and were also made of steel. Apparantly GM has discontinued the production for these wiper blades recently. The only pair that the dealership could find was in Colorado and $%^ they are expensive (like $60 apiece)!

NAPA ones were $16 apiece.
