Windshield wipers and indicators (4th gen)

My car is a 1997 V6 Camaro. I've been experiencing a strange oddity with it. Whenever I turn on the right indicator, the switch will not disengage once I complete my turn. I need to physically turn the indicator off. The left hand indicator turns on and off just fine, but whenever I use the right hand indicator, it does not disengage once the wheel returns to the natural position.

Also, from time to time, my windshield wipers do not work whenever I turn the dial. They will work if I hit spray, but twisting the **** otherwise ends up with no result. This is an on-and-off problem, in that one day it will work, the next it won't. I could be doing a road trip and it will work in the first hour, it will not work 3 hours in, and it will work on the 5th hour. It also occurs that while I'm using the wipers, they will decide to simply turn off, prompting me to hit the spray to clear my windshield.

Anyone have any experience with issues like this?
