Question Window motor question and door lock.

On my 1997 Camaro I have to replace the window motor I ended up getting a whole door with a good motor for Free.
The door on my car has already had the motor replaced so it's a piece of cake but the other door I have has the factory GM motor in it.
Does any body have a picture of the whole door?
I have looked at shoe box's web page but no pictures of the whole door.
I could always take the door panel off my car and see but I don't want to take the door panel off till I have the motor out.
The second problem I have is on the passenger side door the lock the plastic part that you slide back and forth to lock unlock the door rattles and drives me crazy.
Does any body know what I can do to stop it from rattling?
Thanks,

Chris G.

I just recently replaced my window motor, it's pretty much inside the door, you gotta take off the isolation and reach inside to get to it, it's being held in place by 3 unscrewable nuts (don't know how they're called, they're bashed in non-removable). They have a hole in the middle, you're supposed to blow them out with a drill. New motors supply new nuts and bolts.

The rattle part... I suggest you push the clip hard towards the door, it may be possible the metal wire that's supposed to be inside it got out and it hits the door when it opens and closes. If that doesn't work, you should probably unscrew the hand hold part and take it out and see what's going on (2 screws, one next to the door open bar - very visible - and one under this hand hold part, not the one in the hole! it's next to that hole)... It comes out separately from the door panel.

Good luck

Just foud this link on a similar thread, it's pretty good, except my camaro had factory made holes in the door to access the rivets, and window didn't need any support... http://shbox.com/page/windowmotor.html

I fixed the rattling by wrapping the button with insulation tape... since it's black you can't see it...
