I looking at maybe getting some 4.10 gears for my o1 TA. I had them before in my 95 and they were great, except for the slight gear whine. I got the whole rear used so I had no dealings with any shop. I really don't want to get them if I can't get a guarantee they won't whine, its to annoying.

I think almost all 4.10's are gonna give gear whine...

I doubt a shop would give you that kind of promise...

BUT,

ya never know until you try...

You can eventually find someone to promise you anything you want, but realisticly, the most a shop can do is warranty that they are installed CORRECTLY.

Stiffer gears whine, newer gears whine, and our ears seem to be ultra sensitive right after an install.

I just installed my gears and the mesh is perfect. I still get a whine around 40 or so, just turn the radio up :p

I just had Motive 4.10s installed and have a nice whine to them not to bad anymore. Got used to it LOL
