Yes, they will fit. The 305 heads have a smaller combustion chamber.

Re: will 350 heads fit on the 305?

my dad runs 2 pick a parts in houston and can get me alot of different heads but not really aftermarket ones and i know these 350 heads are the biggest valve opening u can get so i was assuming they would work the best for maxximum power but im apparently wrong so what other stock style heads from any chevy give me the max power even if i have to have them ported and polished?
or would i be better off just getting the stock ones fixxed up?
ive got about 600$ to do the job

thkzz for the help all

Re: will 350 heads fit on the 305?

wouldn't some vortec heads bolt right up to the block?

i know you'd have to get a new intake due to some bolt and angle differences, but the vortec heads outflow the stock 305ers.

but you'd have to research what the combustion chamber sizes are, if you go too much bigger than the stockers, you'll lose compression, and power in turn.

although you could have them milled, but you can only go so far with that.
