Re: wierd viberation

??

while driving in the car it viberates @ 65 and 75mph. <---while on gas, vibes pass quicky while off gas.

if the car is not moving either in park or nuetral, and you rev it up it viberates faster with RPM. what else you want to know?

Re: wierd viberation

Vibes in neutral w/ clutch engauged or disengauged?
Engauged... might be a bent main shaft in the trans.. M6, right?
Disengauged...might be bad motor mounts.

Re: wierd viberation

some thoughts. Check motor mounts and transmission rear mount. Question. Any recent replacement of crank pulley or clutch and or pressure plate?

Re: wierd viberation

Sorry Guys, I should have stated, my car is an Automatic.
The vibes are in Park and Neutral, when you rev up the car. (doesnt have to be much at all just touch the gas a little.)

engine mounts are good, and have been checked.
the previous owner states he installed a "harder" transmission mount, for better shifts. he also said it will last longer?

Anyways, tires all all balanced, brand new u-joints.

Everyone I have talked to lately about it has said either;
1. Harmonic Balancer?
2. Flywheeel?
3. Harder than stock Transmission Mount?

like I said, the vibe is lively mostly at speeds inbetween 65-75mph.

Anyone know of any COMMON VIBERATIONS in these Cars? (my car in signature)

Re: wierd viberation

My 99 camaro had rattle sound at one rpm ,even in park, like exaust shield .ended up replacing the whole drive shaft .so they said but it worked. the bad was the seal leaked on the mount and trashed it .Does the engine run smooth .Ive found spark shows at night under the hood .Good luck...

Re: wierd viberation

it runs awesome.

when revving it up the engine has no visual excessive viberation.
when putting it in drive or reverse the engine doesnt lean or shake funny.

its almost like a rotary viberation, as like something is out of balance and spinning.

oh ya, what seal leaked on what mount?

the car in question has a leaky rear main seal on the rear axle where the driveshaft connects to it. maybe this could be a problem?
