Hello...just registered...I used to be on here long ago...anyway..I have a 99 SS convertible...white with neutral top, auto with SLP wheels and fob..etc..
...My SS has only 5000 miles..kept it in garagefor many years...and the sunlight has actually on been on it maybe 4 times...never been rained on and still have nipples on original tires..along with all factory chalk marks and stickers from the factory....along with all the paperwork from SLP and the train route it took from Canada, as well as the truck company that delivered it to the dealer...etc..etc...my question is....
where do you think this SS is compared to others ranking lowest mileage...btw.is is completely stock as it came from the factory..where do you all think I stand...email me or post here....pierremorris@yahoo.com....If I think of it..I will post a pic of my odometer for all to see.

Well, you are doing better than me. I don't have a 99 but I've got an 01 ss with a little over 14,000 miles and I'm the original owner. First year I had it I put over 5000 miles on it. Now I'm driving it between 150 and 300 miles a year. Back then I only had 2 cars and now I have 4 plus a truck. Almost no time to drive it. Post a picture when you get time. Would love to see it.

Well, I think I got you beat, I don't have an SS but a '99 Z28 with 4,800 miles. Babied it from day one. Black with SS hood and white leather interior. The ultimate garage queen, never seen rain. Anybody need a stock Z28 hood?

I highly don't think there will be one at the barrett jackson auction, ( I know you are being a smart *** about it ) and I would never know because the older camaros get all the glory so I don't watch it. I don't know why any one would buy one because they are ugly. I enjoy driving my SS as well, but I didn't spend $38,000 ( Car + tax + interst ) to drive it every day. Some people do, some people don't. I would never buy a used car with High Miles!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

 

That's funny, because the 50th car being auctioned this year is a 2000 Trans Am WS6 with 8000 miles.

I don't drive mine everyday but I didn't spend the money on it to wax it once a week and drive it twice a year. If it gets a rock chip I'll shell out a couple bucks to repaint the bumper.

 

My car has only been waxed 1 time in ten years and I drive mine about 6 times every year. Reason #1 I work alot of hours. Reason #2 call me crazy but I enjoy driving my 3rd gens more. I don't know why because they don't have the power or the handling, gas mileage etc. of a 4th gen. I just like them. Every body is differnet in their likes and dislikes.

 

I have an SS that still has the plastic on the seats and floors....... less than 50 miles on it. It hasn't left my garage since the day that I bought it in 1999, since I have several other cars to drive. I also have a 96, 92, 69 and 67..... the 67 I have is my fav, it is non numbers matching so I dropped a 383 with 475 hp in it several years ago. They are all fun to drive, I want to go buy one of the new ones with the 6.2 in it, wow.... That will be a worth a ton in 30 years, like the old Yenkos or COPO's.
