White smoke out of exhaust??

My car has a problem!! At idle and at normal driving conditions its fine, but after I have been getting on it for a while or driving at high rpms some white smoke starts to come out of the exhaust It just does it for a few seconds then stops. I have my cats gutted and I was wondering if that would have anything to do with it, or if you guys think it might be a head gasket problem. It runs great and my coolant and oil have always been fine, besides the fact that my car drinks oil like i do beer. Anyway any info??

White smoke is the sign of coolant burning off my friend. Whether it be a cracked head/block, warped head or a bad head gasket. Is the oil milky at all?

The oil always looks good when I change it or check it. How can I find out if its just a gasket instead of the head itself or what it is? I just drove it on like a 500 mile trip and it made it fine. Should I just go ahead and have someone replace my head gasket or what and also how much $$$ would that be??

Look at it again and make sure there's no blue in that smoke. You gotta kinda look at it at the right angle and right light...but you'll see a blueish tint. That means you're burning oil. And since you said it drinks oil like you drink beer...and I'm going out on a limb thinking you are somewhat of an alcoholic ...I'm thinkin it is the oil. Maybe a head gasket, intake gasket, valve seal...whatever....

Good luck....
