Where to put the Cutout..

Ok, my friend wants to install a cut out on his Formula. He's got a stock exhaust system and wants to know where to put it for best gains/sound or whatever. Also how involved is the install? do you NEED to weld? Thanks for any info.

you probably will need to weld since stock pipe is 2.75" and the cutout is 3"

put it in the pocket just before the axle...it fits perfect

That's the same spot I had mine installed. If you position it in that pocket correctly, you can access it by laying down beside the passenger side rear tire easily

Another vote for putting it right before the pipe bends to go over the axle. I just had a custom exhaust shop make me one real quick. It is real nice access if you lay on the ground by the passenger side back tire.
