When you run a carfax on an SS does it come up as a z28 or SS?

When you run a carfax on an SS does it come up as a z28 or SS?
I am in the process of buying a 30th anniversary SS. When I did the carfax it just said 1997 z28 coupe. Just wondering if it should have said Camaro SS.

LT1 SSs were made as a Z28 (& poss. some LS1s?), then sent to SLP for conversion. You'll have to contact SLP with the VIN # to verify that it's a "true" SS.

well the prolem is that slp cannot find the vin in their computer. The guy says it is a real one, but bought it with 10,000 miles on it. He is supposed to look for the rpo code today for me. Supposed to go pick it up saturday.
