97 fbird - ttops with M4... clean to very good conditon with 130K on car, but with a brand new engine ( GM original 3.8 ) freshly installed. Edmunds and KBB are listing around $4K, but I'm not sure how they are considering the new engine on a car that old??? I'm thinking that it might sell a little higher as with the gas prices the dealrship could plug " it's a sports car that gets 30MPG and will have low insurance blah blah"
Thanks for looking and your time if you post
Tim
p.s. just in case you are wondering I killed this car a year or so back and it's just been sitting in the garage with the engine in pices as I've been so busy with work. But, now I've got 8 weeks off ( I teach so summer vac is here ), and I'm trying to decide if I want to restore this and drive it myself or sell it and use the $$$ towards something newer like a GTO or 2010???

M4? Didn't know they made those.
Edmunds and KBB listed the same price? That's really odd. When selling my 1994 V6 Camaro KBB listed it somewhere around $4,000 and Edmunds listed it at $1,400. I was able to get $2,000 out of it. You have to realize the new motor won't add too much value to the car, it will just help the car keep the value it is supposed to have.

they don't my typo
it should read automatic
yeah kind of same thought that I had!
Geuss the only real benifit to doing this would be if I wanted to drive the car again. I'm sure that the new motor will give a solid 100-150K, but I'm afriad that there will be tons of other stuff that goes and this will just end up turning it into a time & money pit... maybee I should just go get that GTO and move on with life

I take it that's for a 96? if so I'd say you got a really good deal there as these cars are getting rare, especailly with lower miles + leather like that; most 04/05 GTOs are coming off lease with more miles than that and still selling at 20Kish
Yep you're right, it is a 96. I don't think I could ask for anything better, now its time for some mods I think though
