What's The Difference between thess Flowmaster 80's?

And now, ladies and gentleman.....a noob question:

I already wanted a Flowmaster 80 series Muffler. But after hearing a video on camarov6.com I wanted it right away!!

But what's the difference between some of these? Some are obvious, some are not. Some I can't find any difference in, but there is a price difference. So which one do you recommend I get?

BTW, here's the video http://videos.streetfire.net/Player....CCB9111EDD&p=0

the guy who posted the video later came on and said he had stock piping into the flowmaster 80.

Re: What's The Difference - Flowmaster 80?

The difference is huge, 30/40 series are the loudest and most aggressive. Then goes 50 series, they are 2 or 3 chambered mufflers. 2 chambers are always lauder than 3. 70 series is very mellow, but when you get on it you know that it is flomaster
Fro our cars I Would take 80 series (cross flow flowmaster), that was designed to our cars. It gives the best sound on f-body. If all you want is sound, just purchase new muffles (direct fit fro any 4gen), and weld it in teh place of the stock muffler. If you want performance go somewhere else, flomaster sounds very good, but is teh worst performing muffler (I know I have it)...

Re: What's The Difference - Flowmaster 80?

Just do a search for Flowmaster 80 at summit racing.

The links to summit racing never work. I already have the 80 picked out. What I meant was, when I go to buy a flowmaster 80 series muffler (click on the 80 in that list of mufflers from flowmaster), there are several different flomatser 80's with different prices, some of them with 3" in, some 2 1/2". What should I get out of those ?

Flowmaster 80 Series Crossflow Mufflers

Re: What's The Difference - Flowmaster 80?

i have said this before and i'll say it again. don't go flomaster. magnaflow sounds just as good, although a bit more expensive. the performance is well worth it. just a suggestion.
