whats the best cheap battery
whats the best cheap battery
my car battery isn't holding a charge very well anymore and has corroded the poitive termal so bad the bolt was froze against the cable and jsut crumbled away when I tryed to remove it-I guess its leaking acid! Anyway whats the best cheap battery-I don't wnt to pay 100 bucks, just something that will last a while, and still be a good price. I've heard Sears has great batteries, and I've also heard that most batteries come from the same company just labeled different, so does it matter which one I get. I could get a pro rating on my stock battery since it still has one year warranty left, but how good are the stockers compared to others, i don't want the battery to start leaking again, and rot away my cable

Really any battery will work fine as long as it's the right size for your car.
Just go to autozone, walmart, pepboys, etc. etc.
I have a duralast gold in mine. I think it was pretty cheap.
But since you have the pro-rate warranty still just get the replacement of the same. Batteries just get old, and you really should clean them every now and then to keep that corrosion from happening.
Oh and tha little packet of battery grease or whatever it is works really well to protect the terminals.

Any battery made by Johnson Controls are the best your going to get.
Sears are made by them and some of the wal mart ones too.
I think some of the autozone's too.
I'm pretty sure these are all the battery made by Johnson Controls.

If you have a "Battery Warehouse" near you try them. They always have "blem" batteries which have cosmetic blemishes and the Battery Warehouse stickers on them. Most of them are made by Exide and are great, really inexpensive batteries...
