What would you do with $10k?

I am about to recieve $10k from Uncle Sam. I was thinking about building a 402 using SLP's block with stage III heads and FAST engine management for the electrics. What would you guys do? Should I instead maybe go to MTI or Speed Specialty and have them to a kick a$$ job of building me a great motor or would you guys go 6 liter? I have the tools and the means to do it. It just might take me some time to do it as I deploy often. I don't want to start this and then end up deploying for 12-15 months and have it sit around collecting dust. Any suggestions to help my concerns would be greatly appreciated.

Well I got some cash in the bank now and my car is the only bill I have...Just want opinions if I would be better off and getting more for my money by having a shop rebuild my motor (It only has 7k miles on it) or build a fresh 402.

Thanks

Is the installation and dyno under $10k? What kinds of numbers does that thing produce?

Go here
http://www.lingenfelter.com/home.asp

(great website, prepare to drool) All kits have dyno #'s guranteed with them.

To go that route you would be better off buying one of the camaros for sale. To buy any of their twin turbo kits new would be over your limit.

If it were me, I would build a 383 stroker, or better yet a 396, and save the extra couple grand for when it breaks or just when I need money. It's always good to have a little money put away, you never know when you will need it.

Good luck with whatever you do.

Better yet, give another one of your airman friends here enough for my heads hehe.

Actually I'd bring some of that money to do exactly what I'm doing with my desert money, heads and cam! And all the other parts that go along with it...

Well I decided to go with a cam and headers, ported TB, headers and ORY, S/C's, lower control arms, strut tower brace, tubular k member, upper and lower a-arms, adjustable torque arm, sway bar (all bmr) white faced gauges and some other odds and ends. Thanks for the opinions guys. I think I will set the extra cash aside and save up for that next big kit! I had to much other stuff I needed to get. All that power and no way to put it to the ground. I might go ahead and get my moser now instead of later. Let you guys know when I get it all on!
