What is rattling inside my passenger door !?
What is rattling inside my passenger door !?
Have 2000 SS. Recently whenever I get a hard bump (and that is often, here in michigan), something inside my passenger door rattles loudly.
It never rattles on nice flat road, it is either a bump or up/down icline. It rattles very fast - ratt-tat-tat-tat-tat-tat, etc and then stops.
I was thinking door arm or window guide? But the door, lock, window work fine. And I wouldn't have a clue how to get into the door and what to even look for.
Any help would be appreciated !
Thanks in advance.

Re: What is rattling inside my passenger door !?
Over the years those bolts will loosen up from slamming the door and continuous use of opening and closing the door. Some of the bolts in my door loosened up and the motor jammed so I replaced as much as I could...motor, regulator..everything I could think of. I also found a washer and other misc stuff binging and bopping around in my door when I opened it just laying at the bottom. Maybe you can open the door panel and just do a visual to make sure all the bolts are snug and nothing bopping around at the bottom of the door.
Some have rivets and no worries about that unless they have poked through the fiberglass or plastic whaveter it is that's holding our fragile door together.
I would make adjustments to the guides if the window feels loose, sctratches or makes noises when going up & down.
It sucks to have window tint and for it to be scratched.

easy to take door panel off.. just undo a few screws.. trickiest part is getting the lock thing off... but easy once figure it out... just open it and find out

No scratches on window ... and thanks for the other suggestions.
I found this, let me know what you guys think -
1998-2002 Chevrolet Camaro
Inside door handle rattles
A rattle or buzz from the inside of the door handle may be caused by the door look lever rubbing or vibrating against the inside door handle bezel. To repair the handle, follow these steps:
Remove the inside door handle bezel.
Apply a 10 mm x 30 mm (3/8-in. x 1 3R16-in) piece of flocking tape to the back of the door handle bezel.
Clean the surfaces of the door handle bezel before applying the tape. Leave a 1-mm (1R16 in) gap between the edge of the tape and the door lock **** opening. Reinstall the inside door handle bezel.
What is flocking tape ?!?
