If you pull a hose and you get vaccuum, you can use any of them, just don't loose the straw. I don't even use it, actually. If you pull a hose and there is no vac, it's probally a ported vaccuum line, allows vaccuum under throttle opening. But, yeah, another vote for the brake booster line. You'll probally have to keep the car alive in the mean time.......

So basically you put it in any vacuum line and It makes it's way to the engine and cleans it out. What is the engine is high mileage engine, will it hurt it. I have a high mileage LT1 and been hearing about this product. So just tryin to find out some about it. Also on Lt1's there's a vacuum line that goes from the Air Duck, will it work If i put it throw there. Don't mean to steal the thread or anything, must noticed the people who responded have used the product.

The higher the milage the more your car needs it, I did my V6 at 145K... Smoke went everywere and man I regained some serious power...

Re: what port to use for sea foam

the BB hose is the FAT one that runs into your brake booster. (the "drum" in back of your master cylnder) follow it. It should run into the back of the intake manifold.
I will sing the praises of Seafoam for ever. That sh*t works miracles! Yeah, it smokes like crazy for a couple minutes but after that stuff works it's way out, OMG!!!
About how much to use, I was tought in tech-school to use 1/4 of the can (sucked in) let it kill the motor and then saturate the heck out of it. The longer it sits the better it works. Don't go crazy with it as to hydo-lock the motor.....NO good... Let it sit for around 20 minutes. It'll start rough but once you get it going, take it for a rude and find a road that it's safe enough to hold it WIDE OPEN for a minute. Keep doing that and it'll work out quicker.

Re: what port to use for sea foam

I wouldnt hold WOT just bring it up into the 4000rpm range, The last thing you want to do is get a rod knock!!!! to clear it out that is and relisticly you shouldnt use the brake boster line its too big! unless your trying to flood the engine to clean the pistons or something. I would find a smaller line if you want to keep the thing running, you will still need to feather it to keep it running because it will suck fast and hard. I use a fuel treatment hose adapter thing that has a special tip that allows it to breath and not kill the engine from to much seafoam works great, espasaliy when trying to clean the intake valves and such!

Re: what port to use for sea foam

its not that big of a science. i just dumped in about half the bottle slower, then the second half i poured it in real fast, it didnt stall the engine so i had a buddy shut it off right near the end of the bottle. i let her sit about 25 minutes and started it in the driveway and just gave it some good revs for about 2 minutes while it filled my entire neighborhood and i **** u not, entire neighborhood with white smoke.

Rod knock, what the H3LL are you talking about??? I'm not saying leave a brick on the pedal.....Just take it out for a good beat ride, get on it for a while....If your engine is in anything but horrid shape you will not have a problem with blown/spun rod brngs.....I can see if you had a third gen w/ the 2.8L like I did. Then, yeah, be jentle.

Re: what port to use for sea foam

You will be fine running it WOT for a minute or so. If you don't, it won't blow anything out and you wasted your time. You can also put it in the crank case and the fuel. Just read the instructions on the back of the regular non aerosol can to find out more
