got a trailer for my TA...

its black and doesnt have alot of rust... just at the welds..

what should i paint this with,,, i want a good black paint!!!!

something i can brush on?... cheap!!! works good

 

You should probably spray paint it. Brush on paint somehow just doesn't look as nice on something like that. Just make sure you clean off any or as much rust as you can with a wire brush or something. Then get a good primer on it and make sure it is completely dry before the addition of actual paint. Go nice and smooth in the motion of applying the paint and give good even coats. If you buy a good quality of paint it should last a long time. Good luck.

It's about $35 a small can. One can should cover everything. Brush on. Will keep rust away and provide a pretty damn good durable finish. I've used it on several places on the SS and it's A+ stuff, stopped the rust, left a great finish, can't beat it.

 

I did a boat trailer once.

Sanded it down, red primer then black rustolium in about 3 coats.

 

Wow, that's exactly what I did with my boat trailer. Still looks good 12 years later.
