What other whole rear ends from F-bodies can I put on my car?
I've heard that 1st and 2nd gens. have strong rear ends. Can any other gen. be put in my car without too much trouble. Also, will I lose ABS. I have a non traction control 94Z. Thanks.

you can fit any rear from a 3rd or 4thgen. 1st and 2nd gens dont have the TQ arm provisions, or the correct brackets.
you dont want a pre 89 rear since they have smaller spline axles. 89 was a changeover year, so some have it some dont.
any 3rdgen rear is going to be about 1.5" narrower on each side. your wheels will tuck in more.
any 4thgen rear fits with the stock offset. but running LT1 brakes on a LS1 rear causes the brake carriers to rub. you need to either grind them so they dont rub, or run LT1 axles.

if you can find one (good luck) the Dana44 was offered as a heavy duty dealer option for the 3rdgen...... GM no longer has them as SLP bought all of them from GM in 92.... SLP no longer has any either, so your only chance is used.
