What to look for when buying used Z28 ?
This topic was probably already discused but I just didn't have the patience to look for it for that long.
What is to look for when buying a used LS1 z28. The goal is to buy a z28 that will run strong for best bang for the buk. So will it be 98-00, or 01-02 , what problems arise with cars over 100k miles? Is it better to buy 98 with alot of miles cheap and rebuild/mod it , or is it better to get newer with less miles?
The car will be for weekend and fun driving. Not a DD car .
Any input or sugestions greatly apreciated.

If you search you will see several threads about this topic.
01-02 is your best bet because they come with the LS6 intake manifold and no egr from the factory. Other than that do the usually, check for leaks, noises, vibrations, etc. Good luck.

Oh its LS6 block I'm confusing ls6 intake with. But if I get 98 Z28 cheaper I could mod it to LS6 intake or other performance intake and still make out with less $ .

When buying any car.....
check for body damage, aftermarket parts(replacement or performance), hack job work, noises, check the exhaust tip for its color, how tight does the car feel, check the fluids(fresh clean oil scares me), check the wearable items that you can bring up to lower the price(brakes, clutch, belt, condition of seats)
When buying a performance car.....
All of the above + HOW MUCH RUBBER IS IN THE INNER FENDER WELL
