What kind of exhaust?

Re: What kind of exhaust?
well, you're kind of limited on headers since they need to have a carb# right?
basically, and type of shorties
i think you might be able to find some midlength headers that are carb legal but i'm not sure
for exhaust, i went with gmmg
gmmginc.net
it flows as much as good as a cutout and sounds just like the old muscle cars
it'd really expensive, but i got mine on a gp for 600 shipped. (try ls1tech.com, etc. sites to find a gp on it, there usually is one)
the cheaper exhausts (that work really well) are the slp loudmouth, loudmouth II, magnaflow, hooker, etc.
use the search button to open up more than you ever wanted to know about exhausts
good luck

Re: What kind of exhaust?
midlenth headers are not CARB legal.
you're stuck with something like standard MAC or BBK shorties. get them ceramic coated.
then i would buy the SLP ypipe, which replaces the flattened section of the ypipe.
while you have the manifolds off, replace the motor mounts with poly units to keep engine rotation under load to a minimum. that way you wont' have to worry about ypipe-frame clearance.
then pick you favoirte sounding exhaust.
