I recently bought a 89 camaro rs from an auction. The car is in good condition aside from a few problems like warming up and the fan being on at all times. It's got a 5 spd and no lsd and t-tops. It should have the stock 305 tbi.

The engine seems to have been rebuilt because the car has 250 000 km on it and is running well. It doesn't spend any oil and after 4000km the oil is brand new and the compression is great. It flew through air care.

Now for my question. Is there any way for me to know if it's been rebuilt for sure or if the engine in it is a swapped 350. I know it's a tbi and I was wondering if someone can tell me how I can check what engine it has.

There should be numbers on the block you can check. If its still TBI chances are its a 305.
