What to do with vent line to opti when switching to Vortec elbow?
What to do with vent line to opti when switching to Vortec elbow?
I swapped out my factory elbow for a vortech one because it had a large rip in it. The factory one had a rubber air vent tube that ran to the Opti (i believe?) and i was wondering what i should do with the line now that it is not being used with the elbow. Do i just secure it to the engine somewhere and allow air to flow through it on its own or should modify the elbow or use one of the intake lines i plugged from deleting the AIR pump? Those of you that have this intake, let me know what you did and anyone else that may have any ideas can chime in as well too.

My Trick Flow elbow came with a rubber grommet to put in the hole you need to drill for it. Since some years didn't have the vent hose, they make the elbow without the hole. I imagine Vortech would be along the same lines.

I forgot the size but I drilled my hole, tapped it using a hope depot tapping tool and it threaded in there easy. GOod luck, not too hard to do sine the aluminum is so soft.
