what da hell?!

my stock tach in my 88 camaro is stuck at 2500, i have no battery or motor in the car.....is this normal? i know that tach's with air cores can hold at a certain RPM when there is no power going to them

with no motor I think your tach being off is something you shouldnt worry about

Mine goes to 2500 when I shut it off....when it is turned back on it goes right to zero again

my 89 2.8 used to spin almost all the way around it was fun doing 70 in first ( the car was a mess really thier was no rev limiter )
