Weird noise

It was like someone was trying to communicate to me like in the movie white noise. But instead it was my engine! I remember that I had my defroster on, and my radio on but the volume was low. And as I started to roll from a stop sign it began, the noise that is. the pitch was in sync with my tach, the pitch got higher then began to fall and dissapeared as I went into second gear (a4). I don't exactly know what was causing it but that is where I hope you can tell me please!! Is this my motor saying to me "YOu had better replace that blown turn signal!" Any ideas and don't say that there is a "Loose nut behind the wheel" because i dont know what you are talking about..

Re: Weird noise

Used to happen to me. I switched my spark plug wires out and problem solved.

Re: Weird noise

Hmm, my wires are only 40k miles old, and this noise only happens on a blue moon, and I think I forgot to mention that the sound-sounded like it was coming from my front speakers, thats why it was so "white noise" like lol I forgot to say that woops.
