washer fluid not spraying -- what to check?

Nothing happens when I try to use my washer fluid. The fuse is fine. The fluid tank is full.

What else should I check?

Can you hear the motor activating when you try to wash? If it is working check the lines to make sure they are not clogged. If all that checks out, your washer switch could be bad.

well, first thing to check would be power to the washer pump

i had the washer switch go out. figured it out by disconnecting the washer switch from the connector and using a 12v battery to _briefly_ power the washer motor from the wires in said connector

Okay, I just popped the hood and tried it (for the first time... the post was proactive).

The motor works fine. It's pumping fluid. The problem is that it doesn't end up coming out of the spray nozzles -- it collects in the cowl somewhere and ends up dripping onto the intake manifold.

So now the question becomes: how do I go about opening up the cowl to find out what is broken?

try to get one of those things you clean torch nozzles with and clean the tips of the nozzles. Probly just got dirt in it.

The lines might have come loose. My passenger side hose came loose and was spraying straight up in the air, I removed the cowl piece and reattached the hose.
