Vinyl Adhessive Question

My rear CAMARO fill in vinyl inserts are starting to peel at the ends. What product should I be to get them to stick but not destroy my paint. Thanks!

Yup. Whatever you try you are probably gonna spend what you would have in a new set front Brent. (And they still wouldn't look as good).

Re: Vinyl Adhessive Question

Most of the time decals don't stick well is due to lack of prepping the surface. Cleaning it really well with alcohol (the rubbing kind ) and trying not to finger up the decals adhesive. Brent's stuff is top notch, shouldn't have any problems if you do it right. Just my $.02, from a fellow decal guy.

Thanks! And, yes, you are right. However, as most probably know, I have a full time job that pays the bills and do these decals to pay for the website and extra beer $$$ It doesn't cost me a ton of money to replace a set of decals (even after three years!) which helps out my f-body buds while at the same time gives me a couple thumbs up for a pretty good customer/decal guy relationship. Since I only buy the best vinyl I can, it is rare there are problems so not a big deal

Re: Vinyl Adhessive Question

get the polyurethane ones from rksport, I've had mine for like 5 years looks like new. They aren't "decals" they are actual rubber pieces that go in there.

I've bought 3 sets of these. They are great if your car is parked inside most of the time. If your car is outside most of the time, these don't last. The set I have on my "garage car" still looks good. The other two I've bought last about a year then start to fade and crack. Friend bought a set as well and their car is parked outside and those lasted only around a year as well. So, they are very nice but don't seem to last at all for those who don't have their car in the garage most of the time
