Value of '01 SS Convertible?
Value of '01 SS Convertible?
I have been out of the f-body world for 4 years, so I need your help with a car I'm considering buying. I'm looking for a convertible as my daily driver and have located a Navy Blue Metallic Camaro SS with white interior. It is an A4 (which I want for my DD) with white interior and no SLP options. I have verified with SLP that it is an authentic SS. It has 31k miles. What do you think is a fair price. I'll probably put 8k miles a year on it for the next year or two and would like to avoid losing a ton of money when it comes time to sell it and buy a 5th gen.
FWIW, there were only 93 NBM SS convertibles made in '01.

I can't imagine a '99 SS with 31K on it going for 17k. That's too much.

Theres a beater 01 SS Vert here in Ocala for sale...I think he's asking 12,000.
I know I can get it for 10,000. Its so beat up though..also been wrecked.

Thanks guys. The asking price is $17900. I was thinking they would probably take $17k. That seems like a fair price, but not really a great deal.

I think 17k is a reasonable price to pay for an 01 SS Vert with relatively low mileage.
Hopefully I've finally made some kind of sense.
Re: Value of '01 SS Convertible?
I appreciate everyone's feedback. I ended up buying a '96 Collector's Edition Corvette convertible, instead. Hopefully, this car will keep me occupied until the 5th gen Camaro is available.
