Pretty much said it all in the title.... Does the LS1 Exhaust-GMMG work on a 98 V6 bird? or is it too much work to get it to fit properly?

 

I think you are better off sticking to V6 specific exhaust systems. I know Dynomax has one. A buddy of mine decided to have someone install a Flowmaster muffler for a V8 and his power went down the tube. I guess it didn't have enough backpressure or something. On my buddies, I am not sure what else they did to his but I made him go back to the crappy shop to ge this OEM stuff back. That thing did not look right , then again it was a bad shop

He then ordered a Dynomax exhaust system for his v6 1999 camaro and it performed way better. Not to mentioned it sounded and looked way nicer.

Flowmaster also has some v6 exhaust systems I think.

 

On my 3.4ltr I had LS1 SS Cat back exhaust and its nice! I bought it this way from another member on this forum, she also installed the SS Black leather seats and complete interior. The exhaust had a real nice throaty sound, well as much as you can get with a lil 3.4ltr

 

get the ss exhaust it works and its not gonna be 800.00 bucks

 

It should work just fine considering people slap on Z28 and SS takeoff systems all the time.

But I'm not so sure I'd want to know what a 3800 sounded like through a GMMG.

 

Guess i'll stick with my GMMG......was gonna give it to my bro cuz he needs a new exhaust so i was gonna have him buy me true duals and give the GMMG. He's gettin the Borla so i hope that thing sounds good on the 3800. Thanks guys!
