Always start easy
Never start with the hardest section. Check the easy stuff first.
My first question is does it blow the fuse only when the blinker is turned or does it do it when it is off too?
Does it do it in both directions if it only does it when it is turned on?
The turn signals pass thru the large rectangular grommet near the master cylinder. Any time wires pass thru a body panel, that is where you start.
I would suspect the switch last. There's a way to test for it without removing the wheel.
Give us some more info and we will go from there.

UPDATE: well, the fuse blows when put in reverse, checked the reverse lights/wiring in the back, all looks good, no corrosion or bare wires, next guess is by the trenny, where is the switch on a 3.4 5sp? possible switch went out?
