Angry Turn signal problem. Suggestions?

Here's my problem. About a week ago my P/S turn signal has stopped blinking. I checked all the bulbs and they work fine. If I try to turn the signal on all the lights front/back turn on, but no blinking. The D/S works just fine. The weird thing is that sometimes it works and then at the next turn it might not, but then a little while later it works again? It's driving me crazy. Any suggestions greatly appreciated. I'm out of ideas.

It's just bad contact between the bulb and the socket/connector. You can take the bulb out and clean the contacts, and see if that improves anything.

My car does that frequently too.

Check the flasher underneath the panel below the steering column.

Re: Turn signal problem. Suggestions?

I will check the bulbs tomorrow. I figured that if they were working that it must be something else? I will give it a shot.

When you say check the "flasher" what exactly am I looking for? Not quite sure what you mean? I'm pretty good with cars and fixing things, but it helps if I kind if know what to look for.

Re: Turn signal problem. Suggestions?

The flasher is located underneath the steering column... remove the under panel , 2 philip screws and 2 seven millimeter screws the panel will come down and the flasher is a small box that can be removed and plugged back in... they are 10 or 11 dollars at the dealership... mine did that also, and i replaced the flasher.. fixed all..
Email me at Mattzredpontiac@hotmail.com if you would like a picture of where the flasher is located...

Re: Turn signal problem. Suggestions?

There is only one flasher for all 4 turn signals. So if the D/S works, it is NOT the flasher!
Read "Dave '97 Z28 M6" post again. This is a very common problem with 4th gens. It's usually the rear P/S turn signal socket, they get wet.

Re: Turn signal problem. Suggestions?

I looked at the bulbs and turned them 180 degree prior to putting them back in and as of now everything is working well. Hopefully things will stay that way. I appreciate the help. Thanks.
