Turn signal lever

I am wondering if anybody elses camaro has a black wire coming out of their turn signal lever? It goes into the same area that the actual lever goes into the steering column. I don't know if one of the people that owned the car before me was just messing with it or what. I just don't see why they would let one wire out of it if it goes into the same area as the lever. Thanks.

Re: Turn signal lever

It's normal there is no room at the base part of the lever for the wire to be inside of the lever because its a solid piece. It just runs in the same hole and ito the steering column
