Turn Signal Lever

Today i was driving, and as i made a left hand turn into a driveway, my turn signal lever just got loose. now i can't make a right or left turn signal. The lever is completely loose in the column although the wipers and high beams still work. How do i fix this?

Exclamation Fairly easy, although it does take some special tools.

Thanks to Shoebox , though, you have an illustrated guide !

*EDIT* Good stuff, to be sure - I meant to link you to this, though.

Talking Re: Turn Signal Lever

thank you for the help Newbie. you were right the job was fairly easy with the correct tools. I found the problem to be a broken signal switch arm. how that broke is still a mystery to me. instead of replacing it, i went ahead and had the piece welded back together. i smoothed out the part of the weld that was in the way, and i put everything back together. everything works smoothly and i have my signals back again.

thank you again Newbie. and thank you shoebox for the wonderful diagram
