Question turn signal cruise control replacement

Ok, here's the story. My 91 RS was broken into and attempted stolen. Thankfully they did not succeed. Now I am left with a busted up steering column and a severed ts/cc arm. I'm pretty sure that the ts switch is broken as well. So, I went to the junk yard and pulled a column from an 84 camaro. I assumed that the parts would be interchangable and planned to swap the parts out. Simple enough right. So, I went on Ebay to see if I could find a new ts/cc lever. It turns out that they are selling 2 different models. 1 is for 82-89 and the other is for 90-92. The dilema is that the car is a 91 and the replacement parts are 84 and I dont know what the difference is. I think that it may be just the electrical connection. If it is then I think that I want the 91model.

Does anyone know what the difference is between 84 & 91 ts/cc arms? Are the internal column parts interchangable? Thanks.

Re: turn signal cruise control replacement

the newer one(Airbag column) has a short pigtail and plugs in just inside the column from where the arm goes, the older one has a long pigtail, and plus in under the dash
