Tunnel brace

I just installed pacesetter LTs and their off-road y-pipe. But now my tunnel brace won't go back on. I took it off so I could maneuver the pipes better, but now the y-pipe wont fit through it. I believe its the tunnel brace, its the brace right behind the tranny that the exhaust and driveshaft run through. Did anyone else come across this problem? Can I just buy an aftermarket tunnel brace? If so, where can I find one?

Re: Tunnel brace

Common problem. You can get some washers and longer bolts, or just do like I did and leave it off....

Re: Tunnel brace

I had the same problem but I left the original off and bought a aftermarket one. Its a BMR driveshaft safety loop and I added a couple extra washers to make sure there was no rubbing.

I had the same problem, you could leave it off, use the longers washers/bolts idea, or you can buy an aftermarket tunnel brace from Spohn or BMR, but they will run almost 100.00 I left mine off and I didn't notice any adverse drivability.

Re: Tunnel brace

I might as well buy a spohn or a bmr driveshaft loop, cuz they're required once you break into the 12s at the track anyway, so 89 bucks ain't that bad
