Question Tune after header install

Would you need to do a tune after only a LT header install ?

I'd say no if you plan on doing a cam swap .. Even with LT's and an offroad pipe my car still runs great.

my car ran hard after my longtubes went in so the answer is do u need one???...no..

however longtubes do tend to richen up the air fuel ratio (significantly in some cases)....since a rich condition costs you power, tuning is a good way to get maximum horsepower out of your header install.

i have not tuned my car after the headers and it still runs great.

probably to squeeze every last hp out of the header install you would need a tune...but it would probably only gain you 3-4 hp

i would say not to worry aobut it yet...wait for more mods

I had a tune up after my header install. I gained 15/rwhp. Now after a new cam it is 383/rwhp and 380/rwtq.

yeah, but if you do a tune on an engine that doesn't have headers, to optimize everything...you'd probably pick up a solid 12-13hp...

so most of what you were seeing was improvements that can be found on a stock motor. know what i mean?

a tune is worth it on any engine, stock or not
