What do you recommend to paint a block/intake? What do you recommend to get all the dirt off! My hands are in so much pain from scrubbing!

 

Brake parts cleaner is good at degreasing a block.

 

Brake cleaner or good old engine degreaser. Then wash it down with mineral spirits.

 

if the engine is out of the car and the block is disassembled (i assume it is after reading some of your other posts) take it to a machine shop and pay a usually minamal fee to get it hot tanked and it will look like this . if your rebuilding you'll want to take it to a shop anyways to get it magnafluxed, bored, clearanced. etc..
