Trying to fit my size 12.....
Trying to fit my size 12.....
Does anyone else have problems fitting their shoes in the footwell (driver's side) fo their 4th gen? I don't bother using the footrest cuz only my toes will touch the top but my heel will be on the floormat still. Its the black plasting covering under the dash is just too low for me (it isn't hanging, it is where its supposed to be). Anyone found a way around this (other than removing it)?

I wear size 12 and I don't have a problem. I know what you're talking about though, that happens to me if I drive with my work boots. But if I drive with my regular shoes I'm fine.

I took the dremel to that panel and cut it up some so that my feet fit under there. It looks untouched from above and it fits my feet now. BTW, I weat size 10 only, and I found it a real pain bumping my feet up there.

I always take my shoes off to drive. I honestly cannot drive with shoes on. And I mean always, not matter where I'm going or whos in there with me, I just can't drive with shoes.

yea, when i'm in work boots or my army boots, it makes for a really difficult drive
maybe it is your shoes though because they fit ok under there (size 12), but it's more just that they're awkward to drive in

Same boat even with my small feet. It is the shoes. I have some trendoid dress shoes that look good, but useless under there. I even got caught half way on the clutch one time. I like close fitting tight shoes to drive. Trendy flared soles or stiff boot soles give no feedback. Since my dress code has changed I am seriously thinking of driving shoes.

I wear an 11 or 12 depending on the style of shoe... some shoes fit, others are akward to drive in...
But typically I drive with bare feet or socks; I only drive my car in the nice weather, so the snow/ice/cold up here in WNY doesn't effect the 'Bird at all...

Re: Trying to fit my size 12.....
I wear a size 14...never wear boots or anything when i work in the fields or my summer job at a local fertilizer company...i just clean my shoes alot, lol. I've never had a problem with fitting my shoes under there. I have a bigger problem not having enough legspace in general. My left knee is always cocked sideways and steering wheel can be all the way up and i can still drive with my knee...i want to back-half my car and move my seat back about 6" more...all part of the "fun" owning a camaro i s'pose....the 72 z28 i sat in sure as hell had alot more leg room in it though.
