trunk hatch supports

trunk hatch air shocks...

the ones that hold the hatch up...

where to get them (online?) and any part numbers or cost would be nice.

out of the blue mine fell on my head. granted...the car is so dirty...could be the added weight

Ebay ftw. They are called hatch struts (or shocks, some people list them with different names)

I assume you've checked thoroughly to make sure the struts aren't bad, and they just hadn't fallen off? My hatch on my 97 when I bought it was missing the retaining clip for one of the struts, and when the hatch opened too quickly one day, it popped out of socket and almost decapitated me. Most autoparts stores should stock them.
