True Dual People

I am trying to decide how I am going to do my whole set up with exhaust. I know I am going to buy headers, and want to do the true duals cause of sound and cost. My only problem would be when inspection comes around. Do any of yall use cats with a true dual set up? I want to have a shop fab me up one where I can exchange in an offroad pipe and cats, is this possible?

I am using 2 catco cats and two dynomax bullets in my true dual setup. They are running off of jet-hot longtube headers. The only thing I dont like about it is that there was no room for a crossoevr pipe that I have found yet. I am still working on that. I am going to have test pipes made to bolt in place of my cats in between inspections. I'm also going to try to put the H pipe in between the two offroad pipes so I can just bolt in the H section in place of the cats.

if cost is part of your initial reason for doing duals...doesn't having a separate ypipe just for inspection kindda defeat that?

i would just do a normal cat-ed ypipe and a good sounding catback. it will be easier to find a decent sound since it will be muffled by the cats anyway...much less rasp

I don't have any cats on my setup. Having cats would be an expensive way to go, plus it would be tough to fabricate. If you do a search, there have been a few people with duals and cats, but I would reccommend going with a y-pipe and catback if you need cats. Then just have cutouts before the cats. just my .02
