true dual exhast;whats involved?
true dual exhast;whats involved?
I have a 94 z-28 with the single cat.I would like to change to true duals when i build my engine. What all is involved?I plan on going with long tube headers, but don't really have a clue as to what's involved.we don't have emission testing here. Thanks for any help.
Re: true dual exhast;whats involved?
Not sure exactly what you mean by what being involved...x-pipe or h-pipe and where to dump? Most people dump before the axle where it would go over due to costs of coming all the way out the back. You can purchase x-pipes etc. seperately or have a good shop make you one. Search for info on true duals here, if you haven't already... There are many ways to go about this, here are some pics (scroll to bottom)

Re: true dual exhast;whats involved?
It depends on how far you want to go. You can do a crossover and tubes all the way out the back. Or you can keep it simple like I did, I run Hooker LTs with no smog provisions and purple horny header mufflers modified to accept O2 sensors. Simple and it works.
