true dual exhast;whats involved?

true dual exhast;whats involved?

I have a 94 z-28 with the single cat.I would like to change to true duals when i build my engine.What all is involved?I plan on going with long tube headers,but don't really have a clue as to what's involved.we don't have emission testing here.Thanks for any help.

Around here its about 370 bux and some 2.5in pipe. And yes thats over the axle.

Not sure exactly what you mean by what being involved...x-pipe or h-pipe and where to dump? Most people dump before the axle where it would go over due to costs of coming all the way out the back. You can purchase x-pipes etc. seperately or have a good shop make you one. Search for info on true duals here, if you haven't already... There are many ways to go about this, here are some pics (scroll to bottom)

hey man, do you have any higher resolution pictures of your exhaust setup? Im trying to collect pictures for examples to give the exhaust shop after I get my pacesetters installed. very nice by the way

Thanks,but i was mainly concerned if there was anything to encounter as far as o2 sensors or what ever going from the single converter exhaust

It depends on how far you want to go. You can do a crossover and tubes all the way out the back. Or you can keep it simple like I did, I run Hooker LTs with no smog provisions and purple horny header mufflers modified to accept O2 sensors. Simple and it works.
