tons of money!
Re: tons of money!
$2K, that is a decent deal. I was lucky to find my 95 for $3900 with 98K miles. Guess deals are out there. Anyway, I would go over the car and make sure everything is OK. By that, I mean I wouldn't modify until your sure the car can take it, Motor and the rest of the drivetrain. If not start there.

Re: tons of money!
Tune-up, seriously. I'd get the waterpump, optispark, timing chain, plugs, wires, oil&filter, tranny fluid, tranny gasket&filter, rear end fluid&gasket, fuel filter, radiator flush, battery, and other common parts replaced. Then I'd get subframe connectors if it doesn't already have them, and some Bilstein HD shocks.
Re: tons of money!
Money for rebuild.
Summit has a rebuild kit with forged pistons for $800, factory pistons for $500.
Tranny rebuild, new opti, water pump, wires, plugs, oil pump, fuel pump, valve springs.... You will still in the end have spent less then what most of us spend on our cars just to get them, I got my 96 for 5,500 with 102k. Or spend the same but have everything fresh, go with forged pistons, ARP rod bolts, good rings, Racetronix fuel pump, and throw a 200 shot on it LOL.

Re: tons of money!
I wouldn't do anything to it at all. Just save your money for when something goes. 2k is a good deal on it but with that type of mileage who knows what can happen. Does it burn oil?
Re: tons of money!
Doesn't burn oil at all... i can feel that the motor is a little tired, but like i said this car was a steal... i have had it for a little while and have yet to even see a spot of oil underneath...
Re: tons of money!
You got a great deal on your car. I would do like was said above and save for a rebuild. Also your window motors might go out soon unless they have been replaced already.Plus you might have tranny probs in the future if it's an auto. but hopefully you won't.
